The Smoky Mountain Nature Moments of Inspiration

May 18th, 2009 by admin

I have a mix of images in my portfolio but the majority of my work is nature photography.  I classify the remainder as scenic photography.  It’s sort of difficult to describe why I am drawn more to nature photography.  When I come upon an interesting scene or view something overcomes me and my mind immediately begins a process to visualize what I want the final image to be.  So before I even ready my camera to take the picture I have captured the image in my minds eye. This process I go through happens every time I am in the Smoky Mountain nature.  It sometimes feels like an adrenalin rush that pushes me to capture the moment before it’s gone.  Although I know that I know that it is not going to somehow vanish before my eyes.  IN the case of a sunrise or sunset that perfect photographic moment can disappear.  That’s okay though because I just consider it inspiration for another time.
