Roles of Bounty Hunter Agent

April 25th, 2009 by admin

For many , the term “Bounty Hunter” conjures up images of hard working men, working at the boundary of law bringing in the most wanted of outlaws for large prizes. This is the bounty hunter of the common thinking. In real life, the bounty hunter has specific roles to play. Bounty hunters pursue persons who have forfeited or skipped bail for the bail bonds agencies. Rather than waste the time and energy of law enforcement departments, bounty hunters (or bail recovery agents or bail enforcement agencies) perform this function for a reward paid for by the bond issuing company.A bonds agent is in reality an insurance agent. When they put up a bond in order to free a person, they are assuring the court that the person they have released will appear in the courtroom on schedule. If that convict fails to come to the courtroom, the bonds agent ends up paying the amount for that bond. In other cases, the bond will be given back at the time of either the acquittal or conviction of the person.
