The high school sports fields

I grew up in a relatively small town. We had one high school which in turn had large sports fields. The campus was located pretty close to the center of town. As the town grew so did the value of the real estate on which the high school stood. One day a group of Real Estate Lawyers in Toronto representing a large developer came to speak to the principal. They offered the school a very large sum of money for about half of the sports fields. Once it was approved of by the district school board, the fields were partitioned. The money was used to built state of the art laboratories and classrooms at our school, which made it even more popular as a school in the district.
