Cream Puff Recipe for Dummies

August 25th, 2009 by admin

Being a newbie in baking, I would like to dabble in some easy cream puff recipe. In this hard economic times, I do not wish to waste money on the ingredients that I will be using. As much as possible, I want to be successful in my first attempt in baking. In this case, I have an affinity to cream puffs. I just realized that cream puffs should not be confused with puff pastry. These two are of different categories. My passion or obsession with cream puffs started with parties. I am not referring to children’s parties. I meant parties for adults that serve these pastries.

How much is Obama spending on attempts to overcome the trillion dollar plus debt he inherited?

July 29th, 2009 by admin

Just how much is obama spending on his attempt to overcome the trillion dollar plus budget deficit he inherited?  He will never be able to accomplish what Bill Clinton did when he ended his term in office with a budget surplus.  But that was a different time, with a different economic atmosphere here in this country.

Perhaps Obama should study what worked for Clinton and attempt to reverse the downslide our economy has been in since George W. took office.  Those of us who voted for George W. Bush have wondered what exactly went wrong, and how it could have happened.  There appear to be no quick and easy answers to that, we just need to move on and learn from those mistakes.

Solving Problems More Creatively

July 28th, 2009 by admin

There are many ways of solving problems more creatively. In fact there are books full of specific techniques, and they are well worth learning. They generally fall into three basic types.

1. Techniques that have you challenge assumptions. The moment we start challenging assumptions we get more creative solutions. Question whether a tree needs water, for example, and you might invent a line of artificial landscaping.

2. Techniques that combine ideas. Problem: you need a new product or service to sell in your flower store. Combining flowers plus money you get the idea for origami flowers made from folded dollar bills.

3. Techniques that  look at purposes. Purposes are sometimes lost in our desire to solve a problem a certain way. For example, you might start out thinking you need a way to make more money, but then realize that you want the money for some purposes that can be accomplished without making more money.

Discrimination Because I am Black

July 24th, 2009 by admin

I have been looking to get the best job I can find. I am right out of college, and I have been working hard to pay my way through school. I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. I am so proud of that, but now that I have been on quite a few interviews, I feel like I am being looked over because I am black. I am going to hire a Philadelphia Discrimination Attorney to represent me. I know that I deserve a job where I can work hard. I am a hard worked in everything I do.

Find a trash service in the phone books

July 11th, 2009 by admin

My husband and I just moved into a new house. Before that we lived in an apartment and only had to take our trash to the dumpster. Life was simple then because we did not have to keep the trash all around us. We need to find a trash service in the phone books so that we can make our lives easier. They will be able to give us a trash holder so that we will not have any trash bags just lying around. We do not have to worry about finding a place to take our trash because they come and pick it up once a week.

Learning Spanish For Beginners

June 11th, 2009 by admin

I learned beginners Spanish several years ago in high school but now I think I forgot mostly everything. Now I feel I should brush up on my Spanish before it’s too late. I want to be able to communicate with Spanish speaking people because my job almost requires  it. I just started my new job and have gotten by this far but I don’t think I will be as effective at my job if I don’t learn some Spanish eventually. Thankfully there are many Spanish speaking people in this country so it would be difficult finding Spanish speaking materials. Learning online is ok but I need more.
