Acne affects people of all ages

April 30th, 2009 by admin

Although acne affects people of all ages, the majority of people who get acne are between the ages of twelve and twenty-four.  Acne can occur anywhere on the body, but is most common on the face, back, and chest.  Sometimes people may think they have acne, which is an infection of the pores in the skin, but actually have folliculitis.  Folliculitis is an infection of the hair follicles.  Folliculitis usually clears up in about a week if you keen the area clean using antibacterial soap.  As we all know, acne takes a lot more work to get rid of.  Why have a brought this up?  Well, I am 35 years old and just started to get acne on my back.  The joys!
