Are antique dealers trustworthy? I was in an antique furniture store awhile ago and found a few things I was interested in purchasing, I’m a novice when it comes to antiques. I’m not sure what I’m looking for when identifying what makes a piece of furniture antique. The guy who worked there told me the  table was from the late 19th century in France. That might be true but I wasn’t sure if I believed him. Why should he lie? Well to sell the obviously. I should do more research and get a second opinion by those who know what they are talking about and I can trust before I make any major purchases.
