I graduated from the university where I grew up last year with a degree in mechanical engineering.  I have always been very practical and couldn’t bring myself to allow my parents to spend a bunch of money sending me to a university that was out of state.  As soon as I graduated I was able to secure a good paying position.  Once I saved some money I put a down payment on a house and have been making double payments on it each month.  I got to thinking about what would happen to the house if anything were to happen to me.  I decided to take out a term life insurance policy that would pay off the house and any of my debts so my parent could have it free and clear.
