Surgery to reduce weight also eliminates diabetic symptoms in eighty percent of patients, according to new research. Signs of Type 2 diabetes were dramatically cut in those patients who underwent gastric bypasses, inserting gastric bands and stomach stapling. Diabetes was improved or resolved in 86.6 per cent of patients according to studies done by scientists from the University of Minnesota. To Lose Stomach Fat some people will go to such lengths as having gastric surgery, but it has to be remembered that risks are always involved. There are 2.25million people with Type 2 diabetes in Britain and another half a million are thought to be undiagnosed.
