My dad has been a doctor for many years, and I asked him what it would take to be a nurse and work in a doctors office like his. He told me that his primary nurse had years of experience, and that I should look into lpn nursing schools. He had me go to lunch with his nurse, and she told me about what kind of training she had received and what kind of opportunities credentials like hers could provide. I applied to a college near home, and in a little over a year I had graduated. Now I work for the doctor who took over after my dad retired!
