Careers in the medical field have been expanding for a number of years now and are poised to continue to do so as people are more frequently seeking jobs that have security as well as good benefits. One of these careers is in the field of radiology as a radiology assistant. This is a relatively new career and is in between that of a radiologist (a person who has attended medical school) and a radiology technologist (a specially trained individual who helps the radiologist). To become a radiology assistant, a person must attend a specialized training program that typically lasts between 2 and 4 years then they must take the board state to become licensed in the state they wish to practice.
